Each year the American Scientific Glassblowers Society picks a local charity or nonprofit to give back to the community in which it holds its annual symposium. This year the society is holding an art auction in honor of Sonoran Glass School on Thursday May 19, with proceeds benefiting SGS programs.
- Mingle with scientific glassblowers and glass art enthusiasts
- Browse pieces made by glass artists, including many from SGS staff and students.
- Enjoy artistic demos from Robert Simons and others from 6-8 p.m.
- A silent and live auction of glass and other art pieces takes place from 8-9:30 p.m.
- This event is open to the public and a cash bar will be on site.
