Flame Shop Fridays is your opportunity to rent time at the torch for a fraction of the price.
You’ll work alongside other soft glass and boro lampworkers of all skill levels at Sonoran Glass School from 5-9pm for a flat rate of $30, which gets you up to 4 hours of torch time for $7.50/hour…50% off the regular price (normally $15/hour).
To reserve your spot, call Sonoran Glass School at 884-7814 by 4.p.m. on the Wednesday before Flame Shop Friday. Space is limited to 8 glass artists. So the earlier you sign up, the better. This special studio time needs at least three torchworkers to make it a go.
Soft glass and boro glass workers are all welcome.
INCLUDES O2/PROPANE, MOST TOOL USE AND 10% OFF BORO AND SOFT GLASS
Oxygen and Propane is included in the $30 flat rate, as well as use of a torch and some tools, we also have didymium glasses, but SGS encourages you to bring your own if you have them.
For those artists bringing their own torches please have it on quick disconnects to make swapping out torches easier.
Glass is not included in the price but you may bring your own or buy some in the studio and get 10% the regular price (borosilicate, soft glass 104, COE 33, and -coming soon- COE 96).
