With a Special Lecture by Flo Perkins

Tuesday, December 13, 6:30 - 8:30pm

Free if enrolled in class or SGAA Member; $10 for Non-Members

Guest Instructor: Flo Perkins & Nick Davis

SGAA is very excited to be offering this Workshop by world renowned artist Flo Perkins and up-and-coming artist Nick Davis! Each day will start with a short discussion followed by demos until lunch break. The rest of the day will be student work time; students will work in teams of 3 on the lessons addressed by Flo and Nick's demonstrations. Day one will cover sculpting; day two, blowing; and day three will be a combo lesson. Color lessons including overlays, stuff cups and threading will be incorporated into form lessons. The artists will be demonstrating methods and expect that students work on these methods in order to learn the lessons. Each student will be asked to bring drawings of one form that they want to address during class. We will discuss the drawings together and have a chance to work on some of these forms. Materials fee includes: 1 kilo of rod glass; 1/2 kilo transparent, 1/2 kilo opaque. This Workshop is open to 9 intermediate level students.
