Specialty Workshops

We have some of the finest instructors in the industry coming to SGAA to share their technical knowledge and tricks of the trade learned over years of experimentation and dedication to glass. These workshops compliment the skills acquired in our regular class selection and some are even applicable for students with very few hours of prior study. Workshops require registration at least 60 days prior to the start date to allow instructors time to make travel arrangements. Please call 520-884-7814 for help finding accommodations. Please note: Students can either bring bagged lunches or order food for delivery; we do not pickup.

Saturday & Sunday, 9am - 4pm (with one hour lunch break)

Most glass artists have the ability to create incredible works of art, but do not have the technical expertise photograph their work. In this workshop, you will learn how to photograph glass beads, jewelry, and other glass objects with an experienced commercial photographer/glass artist. Learn how to utilize the correct tools and techniques in Photoshop to create professional photos of your work. Students should plan to bring at least 12 glass pieces and their camera (if applicable). You may also bring a laptop to follow along in Photoshop. If you don't have Photoshop installed, a 30 day free trial version will be available during the class. Students will leave class empowered to create photos as beautiful as the glass art you're photographing! This workshop is limited to 12 students.
