Borosilicate Tubing Basics – Mondays ( Oct 29, Nov 12 & 19)

This beginner level tubing class immerses students in borosilicate hollow work techniques. Over the next 3 classes, you will learn the basics needed to begin your journey as a hollow form glass artist. 


Topics covered:

  • Pulling points
  • Blowing a proper bubble
  • Bubble control
  • Two-handed rotation
  • Attaching a punti to a bubble
  • Tearing off
  • Solid to hollow connections


Class projects may include: 

  • Tubing Implosion Pendant
  • hollow pendant
  • and more

Prerequisite :  Intro to Solid Borosilicate or approval by the instructor.

Material expenses are not included in the class price. Material fee is 60.00 for this class.
What to Wear:
Cotton or natural material tops and pants.  Long pants are preferred.   Close toe shoes.  Hair pulled back.  We have all of the tools you will need to start your journey with flame worked glass beads.  
After your first class you are welcome to sign up for practice time during our discounted open studio times on Wednesdays from 5PM-9PM and  Thursdays from 12PM-4PM.
