45 Glass Artists competing against the clock to create the wildest,

most innovative glass art creations in the following 3 categories:

Goblets/Vessels

and NEW TEAM INVITATIONAL

 

Heat up the winter at SGAA's 2010 Flame Off!! Founded here in Tucson by Tom Philabaum, the event has grown into a highly anticipated flameworking competition. The Flame Off!, a highlight of the Gem and Mineral Show, draws hundreds of people for a night of spectacular entertainment, providing the ultimate opportunity to get together to celebrate everything that is fun and exciting about glass!

 

This year's event will feature 3 sessions of competition, Thunder Canyon Brewery microbrews, a variety of food vendors (Los Munchy's, Rollin' Wok, & Southwest Desert Dogs), live feed video, and fire arts performances by Elemental Artistry.

 

Schedule of events:

Doors open at 3pm.

Session I: 4pm - 6pm
