When: Artists will begin Friday, September 12th at 8:00 AM and make beads until 10:00 PM. We will have food, bead stringing demonstrations, and live performances. Artists will return to the torch on Saturday, September 13th at 8:00 AM and create until 4:00 PM. The event will culminate with a gala reception at Elle Wine County Restaurant on Saturday evening.
What is the Beadathon? Working in teams, 50 lampworking artisans will work for 24 hours at flaming torches to create one-of-a-kind glass art beads to benefit children coping with cancer and other serious illness. Each bead created over the two-day bead making marathon will go directly to children who receive the Beads of Courage Program nationwide.
