This is a beginner level tubing class that immerses the student into borosilicate hollow working techniques. Over the next 7 classes you will learn the basics needed to continue your journey into hollow work.
Skills to be learned are: pulling points, blowing bubbles, bubble control, 2 handed rotation, opening up a bubble, and much more. Class projects may include: a shot glass, vase with a top, hollow pendant, wigwag hallow work, and more. Beginning boro or instructor approval is required to take this class.
Session I: June 7, 14, 21, July 5, 12, 19, 26, 2018 | Thursdays | 5:30PM-8:30PM
There is a $80 material fee for this class; payable on the first day of class.
This class requires protective eye wear which will be provided by SGS. All students must wear close-toed shoes and cotton clothing is recommended.
After your first class you are welcome to sign up for practice time during our discounted open studio times on Wednesdays from 5pm-9pm and Thursdays from 12pm-4pm.
Class is subject to cancellation if minimum number of students is not met.
