PREREQUISITE: Beginning Beads or Instructor Approval

Learn how to make twisted cane for torch work or fusing projects. We will learn the process of building up layers of glass, reading the heat to know when, and how, to pull and even cane. Teamwork in pulling larger gathers will be discussed.


Various styles of twisted cane will be explored.


Nan will also demonstrate how to apply cane on beads and students will be able to practice this method if time permits. 


Beginning Beads or Instructor Approval required to take this class.

Session I: June 24, 2017 / Saturday / 10AM-2PM

Session II: October 29, 2017 / Sunday / 10AM – 2PM
There is a $15 material fee for this class; payable on the first day of class.

This class requires protective eye wear which will be provided by SGS. All students must wear close-toed shoes and cotton clothing is recommended.
After your first class you are welcome to sign up for practice time during our discounted open studio times on Thursdays from 12pm-4pm and Fridays from 5pm-9pm.


Class is subject to change if minimum number of students is not met.
