Description
The Make-Your-Own Tumbler is a 25-minute introduction to furnace glassblowing.
You’ll use the blowpipe to take your gathered glass and reheat it at the hole as needed. Then, you’ll blow air into the blowpipe and use tools to shape the glass. You may take a more active or passive a role based on your comfort level.
If you are a party of more than one person you must book consecutive time slots to accommodate your group.
Each time slot is 35 minutes. Choose a start time and then an end time for the number of time slots required.
You may book up to 4 time slots.
-Please schedule at least 24 hours in advance. Have dates and times that work for you ready.
-Your piece will need to cool down after its made. Completed projects are available for pick up 7 days after the experience date.
-Pieces can be shipped for an additional fee.
Important Notes:
Your safety comes first, so we require that every student at SGS wear closed-toe shoes. Safety glasses are required for some classes (which we’ll provide). Please wear comfortable, cotton clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Depending on the class, students should also tie back long hair and avoid wearing dangling jewelry.
